United Cargo has announced on 5th March 2019 that they would not accept new bookings for shipments to or through Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, India (BOM) or Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, India (DEL).

They will continue to accept tenders of previously confirmed shipment bookings into both the Airports. They are not accepting the new bookings to these locations.

The South Asia airspace restriction has prompted severe weight restrictions on recent United flights to BOM and DEL. This leads to a significant backlog of shipments destined for these two locations.

We are expecting that service to and from India on all carriers will consistently get worse due to carrier service changes caused by the Pakistani air space closure. We suggest that all companies prepare for much longer transit times to/from India by Air Freight.
