Lisa Victoria Waller (formerly Anderson) serves as the President and co-owner of BDG International, Inc., a reputable company located in Elgin, near Chicago, Illinois. BDG International, Inc. (BDG) boasts a rich history, founded by the Anderson family in 1983. We specialize in international freight forwarding, U.S. Customs brokerage, FTZ consultancy/admission, and Letter of Credit expertise. Notably, we are proud recipients of the President’s “E” Awards for Excellence in Exporting, an honor we achieved in 2013.
In 2007, Lisa, along with her esteemed partners, expanded our operations by establishing BDG International (India) Pvt Ltd in New Delhi, India. This journey continued with the opening of our Mumbai office in 2020. Our BDG India office has made significant contributions to the local marketplace, providing invaluable insights and top-tier services.
Lisa is a distinguished member of the Illinois District Export Council, having received her appointment from the U.S. Department of Commerce. Additionally, she holds the position of Secretary on the Executive Board of the IL District Export Council.
Within the industry, Lisa is recognized as the Vice President of the Chicago Customs Broker and Forwarder Association. Her impressive credentials include being a Licensed Customs Broker, Certificated Export Specialist, and a Certified Customs Specialist. Lisa maintains an in-depth understanding of the ever-evolving landscape of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), as well as the intricacies of Partner Government Agencies.
Having traveled extensively on professional ventures worldwide, Lisa’s role in running our India office provides her with firsthand experience in both trade and offshore business management. Her practical experience in international trade equips her with valuable insights into how importers and exporters can enhance their global processes.
With a dedicated career in international trade that spans back to 1993, Lisa is not only a consultant but also an educator who speaks and trains across the country. Her goal is to empower importers and exporters with the knowledge they need to streamline their logistics operations, implement robust corporate compliance procedures, navigate international documentation, and, most importantly, simplify the intricacies of import and export within the global landscape.
Lisa holds a Bachelor’s of Science in International Business, with a specialization in Eastern Studies, from Illinois State University.

Larry Bajmakovich’s career in the logistics industry began back in 1986 when he joined a commercial airline. His early experiences included working in passenger services and import & export cargo divisions. In 1990, he transitioned into a sales role with an all-cargo airline that served South and Central America. This shift marked an important milestone in his career, as it allowed him to gain valuable insights into cargo logistics and sales.
In 1998, Larry decided to explore the world of freight forwarding, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge from his 12 years of experience in airline cargo and sales. He continued to expand his horizons by delving into sea freight and customs brokerage services related to international export and import cargo shipments.
Larry’s journey with BDG began in 2004 when he joined the Sales team. Over the years, he progressed through various roles and was eventually promoted to the Solutions Team Executive. Under Larry’s guidance, BDG transformed its Sales Team into a solutions-focused unit, prioritizing forward-thinking solutions for clients. The team’s approach shifted to not only addressing current client needs but also proactively anticipating and planning for future requirements.
Larry has also actively engaged with various organizations on behalf of BDG International, fostering connections within the international importer and exporter communities. These include ITA/GC (International Trade Association of Greater Chicago), CAPRC (Central Asian Productivity Research Center), APICS, and HKTDC (Hong Kong Trade Development Council). Larry is known for his interactions with Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development Centers, U.S. Government Export, and Import Assistance Centers. His expertise in logistics has led to frequent invitations to speak and share information on the subject with various organizations, universities, and community colleges.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Larry has some interesting personal qualities. He is fluent in the Macedonian language and during his free time, he enjoys the art of oil painting, creating portraits and landscapes on canvas.
