The US to halt all the ground operations for Indian Carriers.

The United States is threatening India to halt all ground operations for Indian Airlines. U.S. officials reference that India does not allow U.S. Airlines to manage ground operations on Indian Airports. Indian aviation policy of 2016 does not provide for any foreign carriers to manage ground handling operations. In response to the India law, the U.S. is threatening reciprocal action against Indian airlines in the USA. The ground operation halt will take place on July 1st, 2019 if an agreement is not reached.

Ground Operations for Indian AirlinesAir India is the only air carrier operating direct flights to Washington, New York, Chicago, and San Francisco. The negotiation between both countries failed which took place ten days ago in New Delhi.

From the U.S. United is the only airline that operates a direct flight to New Delhi while Delta is planning to launch its direct flight from December this year. Read Here.
