The blockades of key CN rail tracks across Canada, unfortunately, continue resulting in some Customer cargoes being stranded in Halifax.

The blockade in Montreal is now removed allowing access to the HFX/MTR rail corridor. CN Rail resumes services between Montreal to Chicago. Continued blockades in Ontario preclude CN traffic from moving further west than MTR at this time.

The situation is fluid and a resolution may very soon be found by Federal and Provincial Governments. Alternatively, the situation may continue to drag on. Even considering that the blockade situation is resolved soon we anticipate that there will be a backlog of cargo as CN Rail works to recover operations.
