On September 17, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced additional Section 301 products exclusions from China. This new set of exclusions contains products from the first, second and third tranches. While these products are currently set at a 25% duty rate, they are set to increase to 30% on October 15.
 
There are 310 product exclusions for List 1 which contain items such as air conditioning units, certain vehicles, and parts, motors, certain medical and dental equipment, etc…
 
There are 89 product exclusions for List 2 which contain items such as various types of plastic, certain steel products, solar panels, plastic drinking straws, etc…
 
Also, there are 38 product exclusions for List 3 which contain items such as woven fabric sheeting, laminated wood flooring panels, circuit assemblies, vending machines for live bait and fishing tackle, etc…
 
Exclusions for List 1 are retroactive to July 6, 2018. List 2 exclusions are retroactive to Aug. 23, 2018. List 3 exclusions are retroactive to Sept. 24, 2018.
