About BDG

International Freight Forwarding

BDG International, Inc.

BDG International, Inc. was established on August 3, 1983 in a small-shared office in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA.

Mark Reed Anderson and Kerstin G. Anderson started BDG International from the ground up with great service in mind. We were fortunate to have a handful of customers that put their faith in our ability. Hard work, long hours and great people built BDG from its humble
beginnings to a well respected Freight Forwarder and Customs Broker.

BDG has grown to become a highly professional logistics and transportation company that has a full array of the industry related services. Our customers wanted personalized service and competitive pricing and we met their requirements.

With the first year behind us, BDG was approved by IATA in 1984, obtained our FMC license in 1985, formed our NVOCC in 1987, had over 170 countries operating by 1988, obtained our corporate license as a US Custom House Broker in 1996, purchased our new worldwide headquarters building in 2003, obtained our C-TPAT status in 2004 and our MC# for Truck Brokerage in 2005. BDG opened it's first international office in New Delhi, India in July 2007.

BDG was formed for a number of reasons. First, the USA provides entrepreneurs the opportunity and freedom to create a business. This opportunity to succeed or fail is equally there for all of us. Second, we felt BDG had something to offer its new and prospective customers, fantastic people who were proud of the work they did and wanted to assist exporters and importers to become successful in their businesses.

Early on we clearly understood there was a niche for BDG in developing parts of the world and specialized work. This work included but was not limited to letter of credit, dangerous goods, buying / selling containers, destination documents, oversize freight, legalization, delivery to the buyer, dealing with Customs, etc. We use this extensive knowledge today to assist our clients to solve difficult logistical challenges. In 2005 we completed our move to our new world-wide headquarters in Elgin. Our new building is state of the art; with the latest in fiber optic, networking, communications and security features.

We are excited about our future and look forward to providing all existing and future customers with a service that can be relied upon. Rely on us!.

We want to thank our clients and employees for making BDG the company it is today.

Sincerely,

Mark Reed Anderson
Chairman
